Global Health: Challenges and Opportunities in Africa

15th to 17th October, 2008 at the Hospital da Luz, Lisbon, Portugal.

You are invited to attend an exciting three day conference to be held in Lisbon, Portugal in October 2008. This is the first course of its kind to be delivered in Portugal, in collaboration with AMI (a Portuguese NGO working in over thirty countries) catering to the health professional and student alike.

Main speakers will include key PRIME tutors, the Chairman of AMI, the current Governor of the Province of Sofala in Mozambique and PRIME’s Patron, the Baroness Cox of Queensbury.

The majority of this conference will be presented in English with translation into Portuguese. The course information is available in Portuguese

PRIME 3 day delegate registration fee, excluding accommodation: £180GBP

Booking: Conference places may be booked using our online application system or by downloading the booking form. Please book quickly as spaces are limited and there are only 20-30 spaces left for delegates attending from outside Portugal and Spain.

Accommodation: Special rates have been arranged with Hotel Acores Lisboa (****) and Hotel Sana Malhoa (****), both situated at Praca de Espanha, about ten minutes distance from Hospital da Luz by metro. Travel: Delegates should fly into Lisbon airport which has low cost flight connections from all over Europe.

There is also an opportunity to attend the Annual Meeting of the Portuguese Association of Christian Health Professionals (ACEPS- Portugal) which is scheduled for the 17-19th of October 2008. The main theme: ‘Holistic Health: Body, Mind and Spirit’. PRIME tutors will form part of the main speakers for this event. There are limited spaces available for delegates from outside Portugal.
