PRIME Tutor Criteria

1.     Tutors will normally:

• Be a qualified and accredited health-care professional
• Show clear evidence of sympathy with the Christian basis and approach of PRIME
• Show evidence of experience in teaching health-care professionals.

2.    In addition, we expect informed comments from at least two external Referees in support of the evidence submitted including positive observations on the applicant’s profile in relation to team working and personal qualities.   

3.    We particularly appreciate applications from those who show evidence of previous or current work in developing countries; a statement of commitment to a particular country or region is always welcome.

4.     Tutors are regularly called on to promote the PRIME Foundation Principles in countries where the cultural and educational norms differ widely from those in the UK. The position of a PRIME Tutor will therefore be finalised only when the applicant has, in addition to fulfilling the above criteria, successfully completed either a PRIME Tutor’s course or participation in a formal PRIME course overseas (or, ideally, both!).
