Support PRIME financially
PRIME is a highly cost-efficient charity due to the voluntary donation, of both their time and expertise, by highly qualified professionals. Many tutors are still currently working and their commitment to PRIME is in addition to their day jobs. For many this means paying not just their own expenses but also for locum cover needed to free up their time. A typical locum session in the UK is currently charged at £500 a day.
In 2010 we provided 925 days of teaching - this would have cost over £462,500 in just locum fees and excluding travel and other expenses.
However, the cost to PRIME for the whole 2009 programme was just under £72,000 due to the donation of their time and expertise by our highly experienced tutors.
A donation to PRIME goes a very long way indeed.
Due to the growing number of invitations to a wide range of countries and the increasing need for teaching for less well paid healthcare professions, there are increasing costs related to administration, fares and in-country costs.
